“Turbulent Kingdoms is the first major film project Kit Reilly has created.
Told through a lens of movement and dance with no dialogue, the audience is taken on a journey through vibrant and colourful cinematic dreamworlds and distorted versions of the world around us. The 9 films are all standalone shorts but when watched together as one whole film, they weave and connect various recurring images, themes and feelings.
Featuring 2 international award winning films in this project, Kit aims to push the capabilities of dance on film and create a cinematic experience that would appeal to everyone, not just dancers. He hopes that it will encourage people to see the art form of dance and movement in a whole new light.”
